- Hi, we have a customer who cannot get his new 3.1 ROMs
- to work in his A3000. He has an old 16 MHz machine, and
- originally he has 1.3 ROMs.
-
- I have checked the ROMs in my own (newer) A3000 and
- here they work perfectly.
-
- His machine looks like this inside:

- We have tried almost every possible combination.
- - 3.1 ROMs in 1.3 sockets.
- - 3.1 ROMs in U180/181
- - With and without original 1.3 ROMs
- - Moving the jumpers....
- - Switching U180 and U181
- and so on.
-
- Could one kind soul out there tell me what we _should_
- do, and what should work.
-
- In my own A3000, I just inserted the ROMs in U180/181 and
- it worked at once. I have no sockets where he has the 1.3
- ROMs, just space with `connection' for a socket.
-
- Any help highly appreciated!
